Rare Dark Blue Star Sapphire & Diamond Earrings

Each of these lovely stud earrings feature a dark blue, Oval Cabochon, Star Sapphire. The Sapphires weigh approximately 6 carats each making a total carat weight of 12 carats … wow … so they are quite large as you can see from the photos.

A halo of clean, white diamonds surround the centre gemstones with a total carat weight of one and a half (1.50ct) adding lots of sparkle and light. They are excellent quality and graded clarity SI and colour G-H by the independent valuer.

The Star Sapphires are dark, navy blue and the 'Star' doesn't appear unless it is under a concentrated light (like the sun or night lights) and we have captured it in a couple of the photos! There is also a tiny blemish on one of the stones which we have clearly depicted in picture #4. This does not affect the value of the gem and it could be easily removed by professional polishing if you are fussy. Remember, these are natural, untreated gems.

It is getting harder and harder to find Star Sapphires at a reasonable price these days so I think these are a great investment!

The earrings measure approximately 2cms (20mm) in length and 1.5cms (15mm) wide so they are substantial in size. They are 18ct White Gold with a quality basket style mount and are secured with butterfly clips.

A copy of an Australian Valuation Certificate is included in the sale with an insurance replacement value of $11,000 as pictured.
