Half Sovereigns from 1893 are actually highly collectable because this was the first year that the final effigy of Queen Victoria’s head was minted. The ‘old head’ would be used on British coinage until her death in 1901 and is often referred to as ‘the veiled head’. The front of the coin depicts Benedetto Pistrucci’s classic St George and the dragon design.

This pendant features the 1893 coin set with 16 x Diamonds. The coin is 22ct yellow gold and the mount is 9ct yellow gold. The clasp is an enhancer style which can open up to accommodate a thick chain. It weighs 8.23 grams.
