This ring features a natural Star Sapphire that is brown with a slight blue tinge. The Sapphire weighs approximately 6cts and is Cabochon cut. There are silk strands that criss-cross over the stone and can be easily seen, while the star is a bit shy and appears in direct light. We have tried to capture this in the photos.
The setting is handmade and sits up high on the finger. It has a stylized ‘skirt’ around the gallery and is quite unusual. It is typical of a 1970s cocktail ring, however we believe this ring is brand new and probably comes from Sri Lanka or Thailand. It is a solid ring weighing 7.11 grams of 10ct Yellow Gold and it is size L (easily resizable). It comes with a valuation certificate with a retail replacement value of $7,380.
