Delight the Eyes and the Soul with this Natural Star Sapphire

This Mid Century, vintage ring features a cornflower blue Star Sapphire. The greyish-blue colour would indicate that it is from Ceylon, however, this cannot be guaranteed since it is a vintage piece. It has been cabochon cut and set with Diamonds in 18ct white gold.

The Natural Sapphire weighs approximately 3.98ct and it has not been enhanced. The stone has one side a bit darker than the other (see photos) so it tends to illuminate more of a ‘cats eye’ reflection, rather than a complete ‘star’. It’s very pretty though and quite mesmerizing to watch, as it is constantly moving in different lights and conditions.

The little Diamonds weigh approximately .13ct and are graded SI2-I1 and colour H-J by the valuer. The ring comes with a valuation certificate with a Retail Replacement Value of $6,920. It is in original condition and has not been cleaned, so there is some slight patina to the band. This can be easily clean at home if desired or we can do it for you on request and prior to posting. The ring is size M1/2 and it’s easily resizable.
