Lovely Antique Tie, Lapel, Hat, Brooch Pin from Florence

This antique piece features a Pietra Dura mosaic of a white rose and forget-me-nots.

The technique is called Pietra Dura and it is iconic to Florence in Italy. Pietra Dura jewellery has been a popular souvenir from anyone visiting Florence since the Renaissance. This piece is Victorian Circa 1880 and the setting tests 14k yellow gold while the pin tests 9k. It weighs 6.55grams and it measures 5cms in length and 2cms in diametre. It is in very good antique condition, with one tiny, micro tile missing (see photos). Because of this, we have dropped the price dramatically and this minor flaw really cannot be noticed with the naked eye.

The box in the photo is not included in the sale, however, it will be sent in a gift box for presentation. The box can be purchased for an additional $70 since the box is an antique in its own right.
