ANTIQUE EDWARDIAN GOLD FILLED SOVEREIGN CASE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION CIRCA 1900
ANTIQUE EDWARDIAN GOLD FILLED SOVEREIGN CASE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION CIRCA 1900
A Beautiful Example of Edwardian Engineering and Craftmenship
This antique piece features Art Deco Circa 1910 with engineer lines on both the front and back. It is beautifully made with a close fitting lid, strong hinge and spring. The piece is highest quality, 14ct gold filled. The process used involves a high amount of heat and pressure and the resultant gold layers are more durable than a gold plated piece. It is stamped ‘Dennison Watch Case Maker’ and the number 2 16 4/14. Engraved around the sovereign holder are the words ‘England, Gold Case, Guaranteed to Wear 20 Years’ and we have tried to capture this in the photos.
As you can see, this sovereign case is in excellent antique condition with no dents or monogram. It measures approximately 3cms in diametre and 5cms long including the fob ring. It really is a lovely piece to wear and treasure.
