Brutalist Style Vintage Ring

This ring certainly brings back memories of the 1970’s. It’s angular design and placement of the stones gives it a celestial feel.

The ring features a 2.30ct oval cut Amethyst with 4 little diamonds. The Amethyst is an amazing colour, it’s almost ‘colour change’ as it changes from pinkish to purple in certain lights. The diamonds were graded quite low I1-I2 and colour I-J by the independent valuer, however, the ring has now been cleaned and I think the diamonds would grade a lot higher. You’ll be very happy when you see this ring in person. This ring has real presence, it sits approximately 11mm high off the finger! It has been hand made in 9ct yellow gold there are some hallmarks, but I can’t make them out.

A valuation certificate is included in the sale with a Retail Replacement Value of $4,390. It weights 5.44 grams, so it’s a solid piece and worthy of handing down to future generations. It is size O and can be easily resized by your local jeweller.
